Sweet, sweeter, candydolls!

I found some old pictures from my files...

Okay so it's an anime-ish girl at school in the first picture & in the second one she's possibly enjoying her summer holiday, then what? Let me indroduce you to candydolls.

Candybar dolls, shortly candydolls or candy dolls, are pictures created online with dress-up-game-like "candydoll makers". These dolls originate from a Korean gaming website called Candybar. As I imagine it to be like (I couldn't find any proper sources..), these kind of characters were (and still are?) used as avatars on this website, and then someone made them into a dress-up game. Then it probably spread somehow and people started creating their own dolls and clothes in the style of these avatars.

I came across these dolls back in -06 or -07. I only knew a website called Sabrina's CandyDolls and used that, then later a friend of mine saw some dolls I'd done, she recognized the style and told me about eLouai. If you're a beginner with candydolls or computers I recommend trying eLouai out first, it's a bit easier.

I made some dolls to show you the variety of candydolls.
These dolls are made with Sabrina's candydoll maker:

If you want a stereotypical picture - well this is what candydolls are like. Overcute princesses.

Generally candydolls are cute teenage girls with colorful clothes and pets.
However they're not afraid of using dark colors either.
There's nearly as big variety in their clothing as in real life!

A nice upper-class girl, a nerdy goth or a tomboy-ish traveller? You choose :)
Yes, it's a boy on the left! You can make boys aswell but there's not that much clothing for them.

The following doll is made at eLouai:

Elvis and a creepy panda! XD

So, if you have a couple spare minutes why not try making a candy doll? But watch out, you can get hooked very easily!

Song of the day: I haven't listened to this, but it surely fits the theme of this post - Caramelldansen

Erasers

Hellooooo everyone! Our deck is almost full! We just need a queen! Know anyone? COMMENT! So an idea just popped into my head on what to write about. It may be sorta random, but that's what the subject of the blog is... RANDOM.

ERASERS... Let's see what we can do.

Hmmm... We can attach them to pencils! But they wear down over time :(             <----So use one like this!

Yeah, use them for erasing stuff! I don't really like the eraser above... Why not use a cuter one?

So you get the idea. Don't you just love them?! Dango, dango, dango, YUM! Then there's melon bread!

*Ahem. Sorry. I'm sorta hungry right now XD. This is sorta pointless but it was fun. You have to admit picture number 2 is cute... I mean come on! Look at those cute animals!

A/N: I probably wouldn't use them... I would keep them so I could look at them! (I do not own)

Playing poker with the jokers

Hello everybody! I'm your new J O K E R. I punched Kayla out from her place as a Joker (okay, pushed. Very gently. It was more like... a poke.) and she turned into a king! How cool is that.
Well anyway it's an honor to join this group blog, yaaay I'm so excited!

There are few things that come to my mind when thinking of Joker (I mean the playing card, I haven't seen Shugo Chara D: ). Here they are:
1. Joking, jokes, fun, funniness, comics, comic, etc.
2. variety, variability, randomness, unexpectedness, surprises etc. For example in poker Joker can be anything you want it to be!
3. Weird clothing
4. Music - they often have an instrument with them right?
5. Juggling - if they don't have an instrument they may have those three balls or something.

So how will I match these things?

1. Well, hopefully I'll be fun, funny and like that. I may post about serious things too, though. Also I may post some comics by me...
2. I'll post about various topics, talk about different kinds of things,  take strange viewpoints... Anything from cooking to Korean online paper dolls , from my strange life here in the North to strange music suggestions. Be afraid, be very afraid! haha
3. I might post about clothes too, who knows.
4. You won't see a post by me without music in it! And even if you think you see, music has influenced my text in one way or other so it is still there. I may add "song of the day" to the end of my posts or something.
5. Uh, I'm not that good at juggling. I prefer writing, photography, drawing...

Also since English isn't my 1st language you will most possibly see some nice little errors here and there - I hope you don't mind but please do mention and I'll learn. I may also do some posts about different topics based on what vocabulary I'm learning at school - so that I'll get to use it!

Ohh, it's getting quite late so I'll better stop now. I'll try to post regularly but I never know how my school goes so we'll see.

P.S. Song of the day could be Tripshots - Anger (extended remix) [feat. Hatsune Miku]

Yaaaay, it's like, my first post and stuff!

So Emi just made her first post, and that reminded me that I haven't posted anything yet. So here are some of my favorite things: Imitation bread, stuffed bread, real bread, squishy bread, crunchy bread, turtle bread, and Mochi, and Mochi. Hehehe

My little Brother

Like most of you, I am an older sister. Here's a replay of mine and my brother's conversation. My brother's name is Ethan, who is 9 years old.

Dad: Ok! Everyone unbuckle your seat belts. We're stopping at to go get some Jamba Juice!

Ethan: Why do we have to stop?

Me: Because we have to go inside?

Ethan: WHAT?! Can't we go to the drive through?!

Me: *Face Palm*

The 4th Of July

Hey everyone! So how was your fourth of July? Mine was GREAT! Played Foose ball with a screaming brother singing Girlfriend, watched fireworks, and the best thing, ATE 2/3 A TUB OF GELATO!!!!!!!! The fireworks were AWESOME! They even had a happy face one (Sorry for not taking a pic)...

Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

WHAT IS PEANUT BUTTER GOOD FOR OTHER THAN EATING?

Have you ever gotten gum stuck in your hair? Well, no need to go to the barber or hair salon to get it cut. Use the Peanut Butter Method to get the gum out of your hair! I love PB but I live in a Peanut free house because of my brother.

1. Buy "smooth peanut butter." The more oil content in it, the better. You usually want 80 grams of fat per 100 grams of peanut butter. Do not buy the "crunchy" brands since they have less oil content.

2. Apply the peanut butter over the affected area. Mix it in with a toothbrush since this is quicker and less messy than using fingers.

3. Use the toothbrush or comb to work the peanut butter in. Use long strokes down and outwards. If necessary, use a large spoon behind the affected hair to act as a firm base to brush the peanut butter on. If the gum is spread out, use more peanut butter. The whole idea is to dissolve the gum with the oil in the peanut butter.

4. Use a dry towel to pull on the peanut butter. The peanut butter will come out with the gum. The less dried out the gum is, the easier it will be to get it out!

5. Wash out the peanut butter with a good shampoo. Lather the shampoo in hair well before rinsing it off.

6. Throw out the tooth brush/comb and the soiled tea towel, or wash the tea towel thoroughly.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF PEANUT BUTTER?
